Begin this Year without Trial and Error

God sent you to this earth. He sent you to do a job. He fully equipped you with a gift, a calling, and a vision; and He wants to bring it to pass. You have to spend time getting to know God and His Word, to know what that gift and calling is. When you do this, you are going to get the answers you need. You will be at peace all the time no matter what comes your way. You can have peace when you are in continual fellowship with your Heavenly Father.

You need to look at the Bible as the answer first, before you go through a storm. You need to find the scriptures that pertain to your circumstance and confess it over that circumstance. You first must know God’s Word regarding your circumstance, so you must study His Word to be approved and call Him in remembrance of His Word.

People are doing the same thing day in and day out expecting a different result. You cannot keep doing the same thing over and over again and get a different result. If I put the wrong connecting rod bearings in an engine, and they keep breaking, they will continue to break until I do something different. I have to put the right connecting rod bearings in the engine.

If I was building an engine, and it wasn’t making any horsepower, and I was losing every race--and I thought I was right--I’ll tell you something right now, I better get out of the engine building game or seek some more wisdom!

You don’t have to have trial and error. God says, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

He says that in Him you will have peace. He said that in this world there will be trials and tribulation but you are to be of good cheer--Jesus overcame the world. If Jesus overcame the world, and He lives and abides in you, then what does that make you? It makes you an over-comer. The word abide means, live in, dwell in, take up residence in.

You have to put your life into perspective. If things aren’t working out for you, I highly encourage you to find out why. It works for people who seek the Lord. It works for people who follow God’s commands.

The Bible is the truth. God says, "If you know the truth, the truth will make you free." (John 8:32)

It didn’t say set you free, it said make you free. There is a difference. Once you are free, you are free. God doesn’t want you losing at the race of life, and neither do I.
